FlipFest presents: [INSERT TITLE HERE] by exciting new 2nd year improvisation company!

[INSERT TITLE HERE] is Failed To Prepare's first production as part of the FlipFest 2015. We have been exploring the stereotypes and conventions of popular genres and trying to work out just what they all boil down to.

We asked ourselves the question: what are the rules of ... a disaster film, or a romcom or The Jeremy Kyle Show and to what extent can we turn them into a game.

During [INSERT TITLE HERE] we will ask the audience to pick a game for us to play and to give us a few extra rules just to make it interesting, will we have a title by the end? Who knows?

A little bit about our company:

[Failed to Prepare] is an upcoming independant theate company formed by LJMU BA(HONS) Drama students in the fall of 2014. Elizabeth Barker, Jessica Collins and Alice Corrigan have set out to bring spontaneity, ceativity and, most importantly, improvisation back to the theatrial world. They aim to inspire those who have lost their connetion with such a classical theatre technique, and to educate along the way.

The Failed to Prepare methodology takes inspiation from Commedia Dell'Arte, Keith Johnson, Viola Spolin and other prominent improvisers. The word 'improvisation' has lost its values in the eyes of theatre creators and Failed to Prepare want to bring it back by establishing a fun and creative environment for learning, rehearsing and performing.
